Back to school..

So... I haven't posted in a very, very long time.. hahaha
Well, It's back to school for me, and I'm finally in my HSC year, not looking forward to this time next year... University exams. Gross.
Anyway, since we all knew that once we started our HSC year we would have to settle down and study, etc etc, (No choice, since I go to a selective school, and that means, it's all about the academics... ) for the last time ever, we would go crazy.
So here is a brief summary of the past two weeks, the last stress free holiday in a while.
(Photos are scarce since one of my friends who took lots of photos deactivated on Facebook ): and  another note, I'm not being vain by cropping the others out, that's just in case they don't want to be on here.. hahaha)

First event of the holidays worth mentioning was a get together at a friend's, pree cool, not so crazy just sat around and chilllllled.
Second event was so much fun ! It was the my old school's Year 11 Social, and it was just a night filled with crazy dancing on a cosy boat sailing on the Sydney Harbour. Can't post too many pictures cause you'll realise the extent of our retardedness..

The next event I hosted ! It was so fun, I kinda feel proud having organised such a large-scaled party ! The theme was White / Glow in the dark and we hired UV blacklights which made everyone glow. Over 100 people attended and it was super tiring but so fun !!
Looking kinda fat and tired from running around with prep. :$ awks.

Then during the weekend, I went on a road trip with my family, Woolongong on the Saturday and Canberra for the Floriade on Sunday.

Flowers. Flowers everywhere.

Then I had another social ! This one was for my current school, was also on a boat at Darling
Harbour. Was super fun, new shoes gave me blisters though, and those are never fun. ):
OOTN - outfit of the night. (;

My Jeffery Campbell's (Right)  + another pair of JC's ! ♥

Beautiful view !
Last but not least, (Definately not least !) on the last (weekday) of the holidays I went with a group of friends down to Bondi Beach ! But before that, we made a stop at the newly opened Sydney Topshop (+Topman) !! It was amazing. Just 4 floors of beautiful things.

Here we are being suspicious & sneaky while taking pictures cause we felt daggy in our beachwear. (:

Tiptoes cause I'm short. hahaha

Overall it was a pretty good last holiday. (: ( I did miss out on a friend's 21st though ! D: ) But, I think it'll last me awhile, I hope. Hahahah,
But for now.. Back to school..

OPI Haul & Review; Ridge Filler, Nail Envy, Drip Dry, Thanks a Windmillion, Mermaid Tears

My latest online purchase arrived in the mail today !
Perfect excuse to ditch the books and procrastinate. (':

I bought OPI's Ridge Filler, Nail Envy, Drip Dry and two colours; Thanks a Windmillion and Mermaid Tears.
Kinda a stupid choice given they are almost the exact same colour, a darkish minty greeny colour, ahhahah... except that TAW is a bit more grey.

LOVE LOVE LOVE, Ridge Filler, Nail Envy and Drip Dry !!
I was never really a nails person because I would always, always, either have crazy ridges and imperfections on my nails, have peeling, or touch them while they were drying - always.
So once these arrived, I tried it out straightaway. and, I am so pleased with the results !!
Ridge filler made my nails so smooth, no ridges or bumps,
Nail Envy, although I have yet to see the long term effects, is a really good base and top,
And Drip Dry, omg, is my saviour. It helped dry my nails so quick that I didn't have time to forget that I had wet nails and touch something.

Now to the colours, didn't like them as much as I thought I would, which is unfortunate given that they are so similar.

Mermaid's Tears came out last year I think as a part of the POTC Collection, and Thanks a Windmillion this year as a part of the Holland Collection. Both are a minty-ish, green / blue colour, with Thanks a Windmillion being a little more grey.
When I used it, I was a little disappointed since I thought that they would be a little more of a pastel mint. So,... I mixed white in. (On a little palette, not the whole bottle !) (:  I like the colour a whole lot more, but the consistency not so much, its much more thicker, and less smooth and slightly streaky mixed and does not go on as nicely. So, I won't show a picture, cause it would kinda contradict what I said earlier about my nails being super nice, cause after I mixed in white, they aren't as nice... ):
Thanks a Windmillion- Left
Mermaid's Tears- Right

Andddd yea, I guess if you have unhealthy nails like me, grab yourself Nail Envy and Ridge Filler ! Or if you have a tendency to forget that your nails are wet, - Drip Dry is the answer !
And OPI still remains the leaders of awesome nail polishes (and nail polish names.)

23 August 2012

a little bit of spring.

burgundy and maroon have slowly been fading from the streets and as much as I love them, I'm loving the current colour trends even more. Pastels. Specifically mint and lilac (and peach I guess).
Diane Von Furstenberg, Vera Wang, Tibi
-fashionbombdaily

Gucci, Louise Goldin, Josh Goot, Roksanda Illincic.
-refinery29
I haved loved lilac since forever and mint ever since Chanel released their nail polish in Jade ( Its pretty close to a minty colour okay ? )
After I became obsessed with these colours all over again, I went straight online and snagged OPI's Thanks a Windmillion (Holland Colletion) and Mermaid Tears (Pirates of the Carribean Collection), both are really similar pale minty colours and frankly, I don't know why I bought both...

omg, also, soon, when I have time to go shopping, (ugh, study) I'm going to run to the shops and grab myself jeans. In mint. And lilac. And peach. Yum.
Cause really, what is better than warming up the last bits of winter with a little bit of spring ? (':
xx

edit :
went out today and look !

total was around $100, the jeans were $40 each from Glassons, and the tops totalled $20 from Myers ! They have this huge sale going on right now for some reason. hahahah. :DD

21 July 2012

Snoooow !

Boarding !!
(ignore ugly hired clothes please. hahah)
So, recently I went to the snow !
We were mostly at Smiggin Holes but we also went up to Perisher Blue, which I personally didn't like as much because there were a loot more people. Even though the lift was cooler.
It was with a school group and it was amazingly fun. - apart from the parts where I was falling every one meter down the mountain hahaha.

I was one of the three (out of around 46) that chose to do snowboarding. and in those three, I was the only one who hadn't boarded before. ):

Let me tell you this. Snowboarding is a lot harder than it looks. seriously.
If you don't want to get hurt at all, go skiing, it's so much easier (but less fun. hahaha.)
as I said like fifty times when I was there, skiing is easier to pick up but harder to get good at (omg, i hate it when the skis cross) whereas snowboarding is harder to pick up and easier to get good at.

I was actually in so much pain when I got back, I couldn't walk properly or lift my arms. I was also covered in bruises. (I even had one on my cheek, but that was from running headfirst into a glass door and then being unlucky enough to have a snowboard fall on the same place the next day.. Yea.. I know..)
When snowboarding, its so important to learn the S-Bend, seriously, because I couldn't do it, I heel-sided, basically when you dig your heels in and lift your toes, all the way down when wanting to go slow, which put so much pressure onto my thighs. Which hurt. A lot.

Another thing. Practise before getting off the lift !!! Seriously, the most embarrassing thing I did was not falling over 34817289370413 times and making my instructor hate me, falling while on the J-Bar, or running into the glass door, but it was getting off the chairlift and stacking it on the ramp every. single. time.
In my defense, it was steep, and icy. okay.

I promise you, this was on purpose. I swear ! Hahahah, I curled into a ball cause I was so tired, and after I got up my friend told me to do it again so she could take a picture. True story.
    .
Anyway, the three days, only two which we actually spent in the snow were so much fun, but so tiring. After the last run, my legs were literally trembling. hahahah.
Back to school tomorrow. Nooooooooo..

11 July 2012

my room;

recently my wall got painted- white still, but to cover all the peeled off paint (from blu-tack & posters) and just a new whiter coat in general. and, since i had to pull down everything i thought, why not change things around ?
so down went all my posters, (mostly kpop. :$) and taadaa !

I know, not very impressive right now, but, its a work in progress..
that big, empty blank patch of wall ?  that will be soon filled with more polaroids (my polaroid collection is rather pathetic right now.) and i'm also getting some canvas images made, and its the whole set of the war posters everyone seems to know. (':
Goes with my bed sheets too. hehehe.

made it in photoshop, the set of 3! :D
this is my desk, I'm really sentimental as you can see, theres stuff from almost every event i go to. hehe. (:

02 July 2012

beauty&skincare haul !

Well, I'm pretty sure everyone I know knows that I've been on a crazy online shopping phase for the past 3 and a half months, I have bought over seven hundred dollars worth of items.. yea, I think I went just a bit overboard..
Anyway,
I received my items from Colourmix today and also from BeautyHolic Korea on eBay.

My Packages !!
Both were packaged really nicely, you should see how much bubble wrap I have now. I think it's enough to keep me occupied for the rest of my life.

Now, Colourmix were pretty slow at first.. they were processing my shipment for almost a month and no matter how hard I tried to contact them, I couldn't, I emailed about 4 times, Facebook messaged 3, Called 3 times, until they finally replied to my emails. It's not all bad however, they day after I sent my order in I realised while looking at the invoice that I entered the wrong state... Instead of NSW, it was entered as the ACT (I blame their server that kept making me fill the form out repetedly), I contacted them and they were kind enough to change the state for me (I think it says that they would charge a fee for any changes made,) and they gave me free express shipping SO YAY.

Lyn / Eunjung / Kyprus at BeautyHolic-Kr however, was great all they way through, definitely check out her shop if you're a fan of korean beauty products, I got Lioele two eyeshadows, liquid eyeliner, eyebrow pencil and mascara, plus a foot mask and lots of samples for only $30 ! Will definetely buy from her again (in fact I already did...) She is so kind and very patient and even tried to find me a product I wanted that wasn't listed in her store.   GO THERE ! ♥

I'll probably do a separate review on the products later, BUT YAY, WHITE TREE SNOW, I've really anticipated using this skin care line from The Face Shop !

26 June 2012

instax mini 7s. ♥

my baby has arrived.
ordered it almost three weeks ago, and I was counting down the days til it would sit on my doorstep.
so I was so happy when I saw it today. (':
(slaving away at home on a day of a strike trying and failing to write an english essay. ugh.)

The Hello Kitty Limited Edition Hello Kitty Instax Mini 7s !
I bought it for $99 on an eBay store along with a Hello Kitty multi lense (just so it matched) for about $18 and Miffy Beauty Polaroid pens, $10 - for writing and drawing on the pictures.

The camera with the included strap !
 & the multi lens
I had a nightmare getting these on,
Since the lens body thing come two lenses - a multi one and a close up one, you can switch them, and the instructions were in korean so I was so worried that I would break it, as the picture showed pushing on the lens so that it would pop out.
^does not make sense.

I promise you, I'm not this Asian normally. I swear.
I just didn't feel like getting a plain white one. Besides I can always remove the strap if it gets too 'Hello Kitty', not use the lens and, I don't know, scratch off the markings ? (:
Besides,.. I honestly don't even like Hello Kitty that much.. heheh.

Don't know if you can see, but the
powder forms two cupid shapes.
NEVER WANT TO USE IT.

Anyway ! I also recieved presents today. Day gets better and better. (':
My mum's friend randomly dropped by to give me these Japanese cosmetics. SO PRETTY .
I love the Japanese. hehehe.

17 June 2012

Bioré

Sounds yummy !
(Picture from vivianism@wordpress, as I no
longer have my own to take a picture of. ): )
I love Bioré, and -there are reviews of this everywhere, but I'll share my love for it too !

I went to Japan early last year and saw this delicious looking product, Bioré's Marshmallow whip facial wash. I had to try it.
And, I love love loved it !

The foam is dense, bouncy and fluffy, its like.. a meringue ! heheh
You can literally squeeze some into your palm, turn it upside down and the product will stay there !
Also smells really yummy as well, kinda a slightly sweet scent.

Then, about 5 or 6 months ago, when I went to Korea and Hong Kong, then I discovered this.
Same, but different. This one is called Acne Gentle care, Oil control Facial foam. I love this even more !
It combines the awesomeness of the of the Marshmallow whip, (except maybe the name) and adds even more.
It does actually live up to the 'acne control', as I didn't have pimples for sooo long, I've been using this everday for about 4 to 5 months, and hardly a pimple in sight !
(well.. until recently, but I have exams so it doesn't count !)

One thing I absolutely love about these products, is that they remove make up too, an absolute plus for lazy people like me who can't be bothered with the two steps of removing makeup with a makeup remover first. heheh.

If you do however, have dry skin, I don't recommend this.
My brother has skin leaning towards the dry side and when he used this it tended to dry out his skin.

Both are about $12 - $14 in Australian dollars, which, in my opinion is rather decent, as it lasts quite a while anyway.

So yea, definately pick this up if you see it anywhere ! You won't regret it, (unless you have dry skin, maybe.)
Ignore my messy hair please. :3

                     ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♡♡

8 out of 10, because as much as I love it, if I have to be completely honest, you can still get products that are better than this. :3

15 June 2012

make up

These are my precious belongings !
Or in other words, my makeup. (:
I really really need to tidy it up. I think I need to go to Ikea and find some cute drawers and the like, its so cluttered and I'm getting a Sasa and Colourmix haul that will be coming in soon !

Will update this in the future sometime to see the change..

Moi-même Moitié

Moi-même Moitié - French
A gothic Lolita fashion label by Mana-sama, Literally meaning ' myself half'. Although the expression "moi-même-moitié" does not exist in French, it can also be interpreted as 'my own space'
And that is exactly what I will make this - My own Space. To blog about whatever, whenever and however I like

Hi I'm Tiffany. Currently typing from New South Wales Australia.

This is me. (:
Hmmm, well, I'm Asian, 16 turning 17 in August, Year 11 in high school. Aiming to do medicine and design or architecture at Sydney University. I'm pretty nice in person- I think. I hope. heheh. (:
I can be pretty vain and I'm also pretty insecure. I'd be lying if I said that I was satisfied with myself, whether it be my body, or even personality. Anyway,... Lets see..
-When wearing make up,
I only use neutral colours 90% of the time/ This includes nail polish.
- My favourite look to wear whenever is the Cut crease look
- I listen to a very broad range of music from kpop and jrock to hardstyle and dubstep- I love the Japanese lolita fashions and Korean uljjang styles
- I shop obsessively and compulsively
- I game. FPS and Otome games are my favourite. They happen to be on complete opposite sides of the spectrum.
- I'm a closet nerd - I watch and read a lot of anime and manga
- ^ I sound really not cool..

This is my space.
I'll blog about everything, from cosmetics to rants to music.
And that, concludes my very first post !
